Prizes: $2000.00 in cash prizes and merchandise at awards ceremony. $1000.00 prime for breaking Tom Danielson's record of 13:34. Time: First rider off at 9:00 AM, riders will go off every 30 seconds there after. Start times will be posted on site before the race.
Entry Fees: $30.00 for all categories and juniors race free! This is a BAR/BAT event so all categories will be represented. Must have current ACA license or pay a $10 single day license fee.
On-Line Registration: Provided by www.Active.com On-line registration only! Registration will close Midnight July 9th.
Packet Pick Up: Packet pick up will be in front of the Starsmore Discovery Center as you enter Cheyenne Cañon. Pick up opens at 8 AM and will close 30 min. prior to your start time. Please bring your ACA license with you. No annual license will be sold at site.
Parking: There will be plenty of parking at Cheyenne Mountain High School. (map)
Course Description: Starting at the corner of N. Cheyenne Cañon Road and W Cheyenne Blvd. This challenging hill climbs 3.1 miles to the top of Cheyenne Cañon reaching the flat dirt parking lot at Gold Camp Rd. The total elevation gain is approximately 1,250 feet. The course follows N Cheyenne Cañon Rd. with no road changes. The final 1000 meters is a constant 10% grade. Yellow line rule is in effect and riders will be escorted down every 20 minutes or may ride down Gold Camp Rd. to the parking lot. See map at www.Mapmyride.com
Directions: From North you go on I-25 South towards Colorado Springs. Take the HWY 24/ W Cimarron St. Exit 141. Turn left (west). In 1.5 miles turn left (south) on 21st St. Follow for another 1.3 miles and Cheyenne Mountain High School is on the right. Go another .2 miles and turn right on W Cheyenne Blvd. After 1 mile the Starsmore Discovery Center is on the right 2120 North Cheyenne Cañon Road, 80906. (map)
